Books You Should Read This Month

Books you should read this month

I listed some of my well-liked books that I read last year. I hope you enjoy them too as much as I had.

1. False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen

Genre: Fantasy fiction

My stars: 5 stars

Synopsis: Four orphan boys are forcefully trained to imposter a deceased prince.

This is the first book in the ascendance trilogy. This book got me out of my reading slump. The sleek plot with thrilling pace is worth drooling for. The plot twists and the characters are just as apt and amusing as riding a swing. If there is a word for this book, it would be ‘perfect’.

Although, I guessed the plot twist, but it made the book no-less perfect.

2. Suicide Notes from Beautiful Girls by Lynn Weingarten

Genre: YA Fiction, mystery, thriller

My stars: 5 stars

Synopsis: Delia has burned herself in fire to death, in consequence to which, June, her ex best friend is left repenting for not being in touch. The plot follows June’s adventure of finding the truth, unravelling the waves of oceans filled with dreadful secrets.

Either the book is a five-star read for you or a trash. There is no in between. I personally loved this book because of the ending.

3. All Your Perfects by Collen Hoover

Genre: Contemporary romance

My stars: 5

Synopsis: The story is torn between ‘then’ and ‘now’ timelines of a perfect love with two imperfect people.

Sometimes, love alone is not enough for two people to stay together. Love and contentment are two distinct things. This book graciously untangles complexities of love, that life seeds.

I would recommend this book to all the lovely couples out there who wish to stay by each other’s side for eternity.

4. On the fence by Kasie West

Genre: fiction

My stars: 4 stars

Synopsis: Charlie is a tomboy and a sister of three brothers who falls in love with her childhood friend Braden.

It’s a light and lucid read. If you are looking for something sweet and soft, just go for it.
