I concluded the absolute understanding of its hype after reading THE BOOK THIEF. The book deals with an imperative issue and its bearing on innocent lives.

2. Loveboat, Taipie by Abigail Hing Wen



Synopsis: a tale of an Asian girl, Ever. Being grown up in a strict Asian household, she is contained within a set of rule boundaries, not following her ideal dream. In pursuit of freedom, she makes a ‘rule break’ list.

Genre: YA fiction

3. The 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins



Synopsis: Mel Robbins talks about a rule that changed her and many other’s life, leading to a confident, productive and lazy-less living.

Genre: self-help

4. When You were Everything by Ashley Woodfolk



Synopsis: the theme revolves around a girl, Chloe and her falling friendship with Layla, her best friend. 

Genre: YA fiction/Contemporary

 When You were Everything is a relatable read with a real-life touch. Will recommend it to anyone dealing with friendship heartbreaks.

5. The Grace Year by Kim Liggett



Synopsis: Tierney, along with other sixteen-year-olds is sent to an isolated place during her grace year in order to get rid of her magic. 

Genre: Fiction

Honestly, they had me during the first few pages, but all my expectations went across downhill for the book. This was a wrong-book-at-wrong-time read for me.

6. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

Synopsis: Pride and Prejudice deals with prideful and prejudiced characters with a lot of classical drama and adorable depth. A masterpiece and well-deserved-hype Book. 

Genre: Classic Regency Novel; romance novel
